Complete your PhD on time, on budget, and under control

Join my online course for PhD students

PhD students often feel overwhelmed, stressed, and disconnected from their own progress. But it doesn’t have to be that way.

I’m here to share how I managed to breeze through my entire PhD journey without succumbing to burnout or imposter syndrome, and how you can too.

While completing my PhD, I avoided the common struggles most students face, such as, procrastination, self-doubt and burnout. I achieved this by applying the project management skills I developed in my previous career: I planned ahead, tracked my progress, managed my time, and had systems in place to stay motivated and focused.

In response to constant requests for help from fellow students who were struggling with these same issues, I created a course that teaches students how to apply these same strategies to their own PhDs. Since 2018, I’ve delivered this course to students at universities and training centres, both in-person and online, with fantastic feedback every time.

Here’s what you’ll learn in my 2-day course:

  • Effective project and time management techniques
  • Breaking your PhD into manageable tasks
  • Managing your supervisor and other stakeholders
  • Financial planning and risk management
  • Using tools to track your progress and stay motivated

This is a hands-on online course with lectures, discussions, and exercises to help you design a clear, actionable plan for your PhD journey.

If you’re at a university or doctoral training center, I’d love to run a dedicated course for your students, online or in-person. Do get in touch!
