Development Workshop
This workshop is designed to help you define the outline of a proposal you want to develop.
Read more:
Together we explore your strengths, motivations, and goals; the funders’ objectives and expectations, and how your goals align; and your intended impact and how it will be achieved. I support you in developing an outline for the specific project and forge your ideas into a coherent story, around which you can then (on your own or with my continued support) develop your proposal.
This workshop is suited for small teams in one organisation, or larger cross-organisation consortia, wishing to develop a project idea to apply for an already identified call for proposals. It takes 3-6 hours depending on desired level of depth and outputs.
Writing
I work with you and your team to develop the narrative and text for your proposal.
Read more:
This could take the shape of individual working sessions or ongoing support throughout the writing process, for example to hammer out the details of challenges and the methodologies to address them, refine the overall structure, or draft sections such as work packages, ethics, or responsible research and innovation.
I offer this service across most fields. Required subject matter expertise is supplied by you and your team in working sessions. Days required depend on the intensity of support needed.
Revision
You write the proposal, and I provide feedback to refine and improve the content.
Read more:
This is usually done by sharing a full draft close to the deadline, but can also be an ongoing engagement as you develop your bid. I comment on your text, and we meet in one or two sessions to discuss details, enabling you to refine. I check for alignment with the funding call, internal consistency and logic, and appropriate terminology.
I offer this service only in areas where I have subject matter expertise (e.g. Human-Computer/Data Interaction, participation, citizen science, political science, sociology). The whole process take 2-3 days.
Coordination
I support the coordination of the consortium and proposal development.
Read more:
This includes everything that a consortium requires, such as running consortium meetings, finding and herding partners, ensuring everyone knows what do to and when (and actually does it), troubleshooting issues, and administering the proposal submission on funder platforms.
I offer this service in any subject area. Coordination takes from ten days over the course of three to four months for coordination, not including additional writing support, which can be delivered in addition.
Trainings
Explore my training offering! All of them can be adapted to your specific needs.

Grant Writing Basics
This half-day training course will enable your staff to get started writing grant proposals for a variety of funding streams.
Read more:
It focuses on the basic know-how of grant writing, from understanding grant calls and what they are looking for, through connecting grant and organisation goals, to the components that make successful proposals for any call.
My training is suitable for a group of up to 10 staff members, and can be delivered online or on site. It is most beneficial for those who have little experience with grant proposals.
Grant Writing – Horizon Europe
This one-day training course will enable your staff to coordinate and write successful grant proposals for Horizon Europe funding streams.
Read more:
It focuses on the specific know-how of Horizon Europe, from understanding and interpreting calls, through connecting grant and research or organisational goals, to the components that make proposals successful.
My training is suitable for a group of up to 10 staff members, and can be delivered online or in person. It is most beneficial for staff with experience in grant writing, but little to no experience with Horizon Europe. It can be adapted for staff seeking to coordinate consortia, or contribute to larger bids led by other institutions.
Project Management for PhD Students
This training enables new PhD students to hit the ground running and stay on track to successfully finish their degree.
Read more:
It is based on my experience and its application to my doctoral research. It consists of two days of intense learning, covering all aspects of project management with a specific view to how they apply to (mostly self-directed) PhD projects.
My training is suitable for a group of up to 12 students, and can be delivered online or on site. It is most beneficial for first-year PhD students.
I also offer this training as an online course for students to book directly.
